Day 2: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, Nagarkot

8:00 AM: Assuming you have already confirmed this package and given us your address in Kathmandu, we will meet you at your hotel in Kathmandu or some other convenient point. Shortly afterward, we drive you to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for historical monuments like Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (residence of the Living Goddess, Kumari), Temples of Tajeju, Shiva and Parvati, Kal Bhairav, Kasthamandap, and many more.
10:00 AM: Next, we visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, the world famous stupa located on the top of a hill and is believed to be as ancient as the origin of Kathmandu itself. It is equally popular among Buddhists and Hindus and is often referred to by westerners as the Monkey Temple. A wide view of the valley below can be seen from here.
12:15 PM: Thirdly, we visit Patan Durbar Square, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its collection of unique temples, palaces, and not to forget, Patan Museum. We will stop by a local restaurant for lunch (at some suitable time during the tour). If you wish, we will take you on a short walk through the narrow streets and market areas of Patan to see the local people and culture.
4:00 PM: From Patan, we will head for Nagarkot via Bhaktapur. The drive normally takes about 1 to 1.5 hours and after leaving the city area. You will love the calmness and greenery as our journey routes through less densely populated area with lots of vegetation.  Finally, we reach Nagarkot, an exotic hill station lying north-east of Kathmandu. We will drop you off at your hotel. If lucky, we get to enjoy a lovely sunset from the roof top.

Day    3: Nagarkot - Changunarayan, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath

5:30 AM - 6:00 AM: We should wake up early enough to be able to enjoy one of the best sunrise watching experiences of our lives.
8:00 AM: Have breakfast and prepare to leave. We drive all the way back to Bhaktapur and head for Changunarayan, a small village set on top of a hill, north of Bhaktapur. This place gets its name from the oldest recorded temple in Kathmandu valley -- the temple of Changunarayan (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, according to Hindu mythology). The temple is famous for its architecture.
10:30 AM: Next, we head for Bhaktapur Durbar Square and explore several monuments within. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we continue our exploration. We will visit Dattatraya Square, Pottery Square and some narrow alleys of the town.
2:30 PM: On our way back to Kathmandu, we will visit one of the most revered Hindu temples,Pashupatinath (the Lord of all living creatures). Besides exploring several interesting places in the vicinity, you may also catch sight of dead bodies being cremated on the banks of the Bagmati River, also known as Aryaghat.
5:00 PM: From Pashupatinath, we drive to Boudhanath Stupa, an important Buddhist shrine. It looks particularly spectacular in the evening, thanks to thousands of lamps lit by the monks and pilgrims. If time permits and you are interested, we can visit one or two monasteries in the vicinity.
6:30 PM: Finally, we will drop you off at your hotel in Kathmandu. Let us know whether you would like to use our knowledge to locate a place where you can have a memorable Nepalese style dinner.

Day    4: Mountain flight
Wake up early in the Morning for Mountain flight. The one hour flight takes you within camera range of some of the heights peaks in the world, and cursing this close to the awe- inspiring massifs of rock and ice, is an out-of-this earth experience. The aircraft takes off and heads eastward and almost immediately, the peaks come into view. The first peak that appears in your horizon is the majestic Gosaithan, standing 8,013m tall. To its right, appears Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), looking like a massive figure of 8, lying prone and covered in snow. To its right is Phurbi Chyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu Valley. Afternoon free time for shopping or personal activities.

Day    5: Departure day
We will take you to airport for the departure.
